To deepen the sports and cultural exchanges between Wuhan, China and Daejeon, South Korea, and to enhance the bond of friendship between these two sister cities, Jianghan University was invited by the Daejeon Metropolitan Government to attend the 2024 Daejeon-China Wuhan International Sports Invitational and Exchange Conference in South Korea from August 11th to 15th.
From August 11th to 15th, a delegation from our university was invited by the Daejeon Metropolitan Government to attend the 2024 Daejeon-China Wuhan International Sports Invitational and Cultural Exchange Conference in South Korea, an event aimed at deepening sports and cultural exchanges and enhancing the friendly relations between Wuhanand Daejeon, our sister cities.
A 20-member delegation, comprising both faculty and students, was headed by an official from the School of Sports, to take part in this exchange event. During the visit, they engaged in friendly tabletennis matches with athletes from Hannan University and Dongshan Senior High School, among others. Our delegation also had meaningful discussions with Korean teachers and students, delving into the distinctive features of our educational systems, campus cultures, and the development of student-athletes. A mutual desire was expressed to extend future collaborations into areas such as sports culture, technological innovation, and talent cultivation. Our delegation also joined in the local cultural celebration "midnight hour" and was received by the Mayor of Daejeon.
