The School of Humanities Conducts the "Enjoy Tea from Jiangxia with Tea Tai Bai" Social Practice Activity.
On a hot summer day, with cicadas chirping, the "Enjoy Tea from Jiangxia with Tea Tai Bai" social practice team from the School of Humanities utilized their summer vacation to conduct a university student-led rural revitalization activity in Xincun Village,Wulongquan Street, Jiangxia District.
In the 2023 "Wuhan University Students' Technological Assistance for Rural Revitalization" activity, the team designed the IP character "Tea Tai Bai" based on Li Bai culture and tea culture. As the first-place project from last year’s activity, the "Enjoy Tea from Jiangxia with Tea Tai Bai" team once again utilized the "Internet + Culture + Tourism" model this year to add new elements to the "Tea Tai Bai" IP character. Through promotion on online platforms, they helped publicize the culture of Xincun Village in Wulongquan Street, enhancing the area's tourism appeal and injecting new vitality and hope into rural revitalization.
Building on the previous project’s achievements, the team continued to delve into the essence of the "Tea Tai Bai" IPand embarked on a new creative journey. They skillfully produced apromotional video centered around Tea Tai Bai and a tea-picking girl, titled "Meet Old Friends with Tea Fragrance". The team members became ambassadors for tea culture, using Li Bai culture as a link, and traveled deep into Xincun Village, visiting places such as Maokang Jiayuan, Longyi Tea Plantation, and Mingquan Valley. They filmed the promotional short film, delicately capturing the village’s unique cultural symbols through their lenses. The short film, with its refreshing tone, slowly unfolds the profound legacy of tea culture and the serene imagery of rural life. Tea TaiBai comes to life on screen, guiding the audience to deeply experience the warmth and tranquility from the countryside, thus inheriting and promoting the essence of Li Bai’s culture in Jiangxia.
The series of short videos "Enjoy Tea from Jiangxia with Tea Tai Bai" were widely circulated on popular platforms such as WeChat Video Channel ("I Am Tea Tai Bai"), QQ Channel, Douyin ("TeaTai Bai"), and Xiaohongshu ("Tea Tai Bai"). They significantly boosted the viewership and attention of Wulongquan Scenic Area in Jiangxia.
The team members expressed that this practice activity not only gave them a deeper understanding and appreciation of tea culture and Li Bai culture but also allowed them to witness firsthand the urgent needs and infinite possibilities of rural revitalization. They all said they would bring the knowledge and inspiration gained from this valuable experience back to campus, aiming to closely integrate theory with practice. They aspire to become ambassadors for spreading tea culture and Li Bai culture and contribute their youthful energy to the rural revitalization of Wulongquan, helping the land regain new vitality and vigor.
