From March 20 to 24, at the 2025 National Women's Weightlifting Championships and the Qualifying Tournament for the 15th National Games Weightlifting Competition, Zhao Jinlan, a student majoring in Sports Training (Class of 2023) at our university's School of Physical Education, demonstrated outstanding prowess by securing three gold medals in the 45kg category. She also set a new national record with an 89kg snatch, surpassing the world record.
During the competition, Zhao Jinlan took the lead in the snatch event with an astonishing lift of 89kg, breaking the national record, surpassing the world record, and winning the gold medal. In the clean and jerk segment, she continued her stellar performance, lifting an impressive 108kg to claim the gold medal. Ultimately, Zhao Jinlan dominated with a total lift of 197kg, securing her third gold medalwithout any suspense.
Zhao Jinlan won a silver medal in the women’s 49kg weightliftingcategory at China's first Student(Youth)Games in 2023. At the 2024 National Weightlifting Championships and the 15th National Games, she claimedthe gold medal in both the women’s 45kg snatch and total score. Her snatch lift of88kgexceeded the world record in that weight category.
