Jianghan University and CSDN Open Source & Intelligent Tech Innovation Lab recently hosted the closing ceremony of their 2025 Winter AI Training Camp. Designed to enhance AI literacy through interdisciplinary education, the camp equipped trainees with cutting-edge skills and application insights. The program attracted over 400 students and 100 faculty members from 12 schools. After completing the structured curriculum, 210 received certificates, while 21 were honored as top performers.

President Jing Xinhua awarded certificates, while Vice President Xiang Yue delivered the closing remarks. Hosted by Prof. Deng Hongtao, director of the Open Innovation Lab and vice dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence, the ceremony welcomed Chen Yulong , CTO of CSDN, the faculty deans, department heads, and trainees.

This winter vacation training camp aims to broaden students' horizons in AI technology applications through interdisciplinary AI general education. It consists of three core course systems. The first part is pre-lab courses for all-major students. Participants can learn basic skills such as large language model applications and open-source tool usage in a high-computing lab environment equipped with i9 processors and 4090 GPUs. The second part is specialized courses for computer-related majors. These courses cover core topics including large models, AI search, hardware environments, and open-source technologies. The third part is specialized courses for non-computer majors (e.g., art and design). These courses deeply integrate AI large-model technology with new media content creation. The event attracted over 400 students and 100 teachers from 12 schools. In the end, 210 students obtained the completion certificates, and 21 were recognized as excellent students for their outstanding performance.

Chen Yulong, CTO of CSND, showcased outstanding works from multiple students. He stated these projects highlight AI's application potential across various fields and demonstrate how AI tools are lowering professional barriers to enhance individual creativity. Next, CSDN plans to launch a spring training camp, which will be linked to summer internships, aiming to help more teachers and students improve their AI skills through training.

Gan Yue, a student majoring in advertising from the School of Humanities and serving as the student speaker, presented  a speech titled "Doors to Breakthrough, Practice, and Interdisciplinary Integration". She recounted her experience of developing Lun Dao Ji Shi (a debate timing tool) and using AI in the mural designs for Wuhan Zoo, showcasing how non-CS students can transcend disciplinary boundaries.

President Jing presented certificates to 21 outstanding trainees and took a group photo with them. The awardees beamed with pride, a fitting recognition of their hard work during the winter vacation. Vice President Ms. Xiang, acting on Jing's behalf, delivered a summary of the event. She highlighted Zhang Shengkun's achievement despite physical limitations, illustrating how benevolent technology and AI empowerment facilitate personal growth. The university will deepen AI education through the "Plum Blossom Matrix" (a distributed AI training framework) and expand skill-upgrading initiatives via courses, training camps, and competitions. The 2025 1024 Programmers' Day (October 24) will be developed into a city-wide event, inviting students and alumni to showcase their talents.

The Jianghan University Open Source Innovation Center, established through university-enterprise collaboration with CSDN, has been officially approved as the Wuhan Open Source Innovation Center, with a focus on AI open-source technologies. The center will continue to bridge academic and industry resources to foster open-source innovation ecosystems and talent development. Additionally, the laboratory's upcoming "AIpha Smart Application Design Practice Activity" has attracted nearly 90 registrants.
