On October 25, the opening ceremony of the 12th Wuhan Municipal Games was held at Wuhan Sports Center Gymnasium. Over 200 young volunteers from Jianghan University were involved in providing service and support for the event. With their genuine smiles, professional service, and boundless enthusiasm, they added a vibrant touch to the event, exemplifying the dynamic spirit of Jianghan University students in the new era.

As a cooperative university for the opening ceremony, the Communist Youth League Committee of our university was responsible for volunteer recruitment, systematic training and daily management for the event. Comprised of students from more than 10 colleges, this pool of over 200 volunteers demonstrates the extensive reach and the ability to leverage interdisciplinary collaboration that characterizes the university’s volunteer service programs. Our volunteers served in 11 functional teams, including Logistics, Ticket Checking, Crowd Engagement, Reception, Audience Service, Cue Calling, Director’s Team, Information Consultation, Athlete Escort, Director Escort and Choreography. They undertook a wide range of duties --- from handling logistics and ticket inspection, to engaging the crowd, receiving guests, guiding audiences, managing stage cues, providing information, escorting teams and ensuring material support --- all of which contributed substantially to the smooth and successful execution of the opening ceremony.
It is reported that to enhance the professionalism and ensure the quality of volunteer services, the Communist Youth League Committee launched systematic pre-service training starting from October 15th, covering etiquette norms, general knowledge, and venue safety. Subsequently, each functional team also conducted targeted, role-specific training based on their operational needs, effectively guaranteeing the expertise of the volunteer service.
